| Grooms used to take a backseat when it came to wedding planning, letting their brides do the majority of the task. These days, however, grooms are becoming more involved. While majority of wedding resources are inclined toward brides , there are certain roles which are best taken by you, as outlined below: - Documents: Take on the responsibility of applying for the marriage license and other legal requirements, coordinate passport applications and other requirements for honeymoon travel, arrange bank accounts and insurance policies that you have mutually decided to be under both your names. - Wedding Rings: Ensure that the rings that you and your bride have selected are sized correctly. Then have them engraved. Take care of claiming them from the jeweller. - Honeymoon: Arrange the booking with whatever place you and your bride have decided to spend your honeymoon in. Discuss details with your travel agent. Make reservations with the hotel. - Male Members of your Wedding Entourage: Coordinate with your groomsmen on their attire, the schedules and what each has to do during the ceremony and at the reception, if there’s any. - Bridal Transportation: Finalize the details with the transportation company that you have booked for the wedding. Provide the directions to the driver and ensure that he would arrive on time. - Emotional & Moral Support: Keep an open communication with your bride-to-be and work together as a team to lessen the stress and wedding jitters that come with the planning and preparation. Listen to what she has to say and be attentive to her needs. This would be a far greater help than all other else! Finally, to make the occasion more meaningful for both of you, get your bride a heartfelt gift that would make her feel how much you appreciate her willingness to be your wife! |
