Your Wedding Invites |

| You send invitations to those who you want to come to your wedding, and to those who you know will not be able to come as well. Your invitations should convey the style and mood that you want for your special day. Most printers who specialize in wedding invitations offer a broad range of styles that would go with all tastes and budgets. Your wedding invitation printer must be able to assist you and give you an idea about what you will be needing and what is available. When ordering invitations, keep the following points in mind: - Timing A good printer can advise you on when to print and send your invitations. Most printers would recommend that you order your wedding invitations at around 6 months ahead of your wedding day to allow time for the printing and the addressing of envelopes and invitations. You may send them out 6 to 8 weeks prior to your wedding to give your invitees time to reply. Send out your invitations earlier to relatives and friends abroad who will be able to fly over to allow them time to make travel plans. - Wording It is essential that you carefully consider the wording that you should use in your invitation. Ask for advice from your printer if you are not sure about the wording to use. Wedding invitation printers usually offer some templates of wordings from which you can select what you think best suits your wedding style. Formal weddings use invitations that contain traditional and formal verses. If you want to have your own wording, it is advisable that you send a soft copy of the wording to your printer so there will be less chance of making mistakes. Check and double-check every detail that you want printed on your invitation. Ask other people to have a view of the proofs to help ensure that the spelling, the dates, time and places are correct. - Accessories Depending on the degree of formality of your wedding, you may be needing reply cards, thank-you cards, table place cards, and other items that should have the same theme, and maybe the same font, as your invitation. These items can be ordered at the same time when you order your invitations. - Quantity Your printer can help you decide, but remember to order a few more invitations than the number of recipients on your list to cover lost or damaged invitations and mistakes in addressing, or to cover last-minute additions to your guest list. It is more costly to do a reprint if you run out than ordering more than you need at the start. You only need one invitation for every couple you are inviting. When inviting a family, you don’t need to send an invitation for every family member. You only need one invitation unless the children are older and may feel offended or if they are not living with their parents in the same house. - Paper and Font Papers come in a variety of colors and grades. You have a number of options as far as the kind of paper to use for your invitation. There are many different fonts (typefaces) available and different ways of printing. Many would choose cursive or italic fonts because they look graceful and elegant. As to the type of printing, you can select from offset printing to the more elaborate forms like engraving, embossing, or silver and gold foil stamping that certainly cost more. - Cost Invitation costs greatly vary, depending on such factors as the quality of the paper and the type of printing you choose, as well as the quantity and the different accessories you want. Make sure to get a written quotation that includes all costs.
