BRIDAL reCOLLECTIONSNoticeably, fashion works in cycle. And just as with all other facets of clothing style, the wedding fashion comes and goes over time. New Romanticism characterized the 80’s trend wherein the flamboyant dramatic vintage look associated with historical period was adapted. Now, after over a decade, the classic is back. Since perhaps no other period of design so typifies absolute decadence and divine beauty more than the Victorian Era, designers usually apply the Victorian symphony of texture, whimsy, creativity, and culture in weddings. Envision bridal gowns with the crinoline and layers of petticoats... the pretty complicated fabrics of cotton and silk... the elaborate design... the complimenting accessories ... and the fully made-up faces... On May 22 at the SMX Convention Center, BRIDAL RECOLLECTIONS, takes center stage at Celebrations! A Bridal & Special Events Expo. Expected to enthuse brides-to-be with Victorian-inspired masterpieces are two sets of the industry’s most distinguished fashion designers. To present the classic Victorian wedding outfits in the contemporary fashion are Emil Ocampo, Happy Andrada, Olan Roque and Sammy Amante. This is scheduled at 5:00 PM. The second show at 6:00 PM, will feature the Victorian-inspired bridal collections exclusively designed and executed by Fashion by the Wedding Designers of the Philippines (FWDP).
